On September 15 I purchased a Nintendo switch at Walmart. I came home wrap the box and took it to the birthday party when the box got opened there was no Nintendo inside only the instructions to packing material and the charger.
I took it back to Walmart was basically accused of trying to scam them, so I came home and I called Nintendo at which point I learned that the serial number on this Nintendo had been activated the day prior to me buying it. Nintendo refuses to give me any information even though Ive paid for and supposedly its my account, but they wont give me the information. Walmart wont give me a refund, Nintendo claims that its not their problem. Its Walmarts problem when I contacted the police I was told its a civil matter!
Im a 64-year-old woman on a very fixed income. I paid over $200 for this for my grandson for his birthday.
Not only am I out the money. My grandson got screwed on a birthday present I cant afford to buy another one, so thank you Nintendo for all your help and understanding

Nintendo will probably be more receptive with a police report. The police will not come to you nor will they investigate, but anyone can go to their local police station and make a report.
You should check your receipt. At Walmart both the serial number and UPC code are scanned and on the receipt.
Way to deflect blame terry. Box didn't feel light?
You understand the system's barcode is scanned upon purchase. This sounds like a redneck *** induced scam.
Agree. It doesn’t add up.
OP claims to have the box and receipt both of which have the serial number on them.
They seem stuck on the story that they were sold an empty box. How do they know it wasn’t stolen from their car or home.
